Episode summary
Paul had grown accustomed to Cate taking care of their son and two daughters. His job as a sports writer kept him on the road a lot during the kids' formative years. But when Cate decides to return to work as a hospital nurse, Paul takes a job as a columnist and undertakes the responsibility of helping out with the kids.

Fun and viewer review
So Ritter for me makes this show. And It seem's sad that a show is made by one single actor cause (RIP) when Ritter leaves the show doesn't have much going for it.
Although this episode is a very good example of how he makes it. It see's him struggling to cope with teenage girls and if he is anything like my father, which he is from this show, he doesn't find it easy at all!
It see's the foundations of the personalities of all the kids. Rory the quiet boy which seems to be a bit of a sly one, Bridget the maneater and perfect at everything and kerry the girl who is the smart one but doesn't have that confidence!
An average episode - a great foundation for a good show!

Episode summary
Paul is left home alone with the kids while Cate is at a seminar on the day of the big Michigan/Ohio State football game. But much to Paul's dismay, the game soon takes a backseat when Bridget is accused of shoplifting and Kerry gets upset over her latest cause.

Fun and viewer review
Very typical family sit-com. When it originally aired, it reminded me of a cleaned-up Roseanne. Watching it in reruns (on UPN), it still does!

Episode summary
After seeing how much money Bridget spends on keeping up with the latest fashions, Paul tells her to go out and get a job to learn how to be fiscally responsible. But when she lands a job at a trendy mall clothing store that offers its workers a 40% discount, Paul and Cate begin to worry that she may not be learning the true value of a dollar.

Fun and viewer review
Its a really great episode that i would recommend to anyone who has never seen it.
PROS:
1) Bridget has to get a job. This was quite enjoyable since Bridget isn't all that responsible.
2) It was funny too! I loved how Paul was like "Hey no fighting!....so close to the tv."
3) I like the whole credit card/too many clothes twist thing in it.
4) The thing with Rory having a snake in his room i think, priceless!
CONS:
1) I'm not incredible happy how they ended it.
Overall, i can't wait to see this on tv again! Watch out for it if you haven't seen it yet.

Episode summary
Bridget takes drastic measures when an overprotective Paul keeps coming up with excuses to delay her from taking her driver's test. Meanwhile, after convincing a less-than-confident Kerry that she has the talent to enter an art competition, Paul is shocked and Kerry is devastated when her submission is rejected, on "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter."

Fun and viewer review
This is just one of those episodes that I can relate to.
You know it is a big worry for some parrents to let their kids start driving. Its just something that worries a parrent to let their kids get control over a two ton vehicle. I would be tooo if I was a parrent.
the thing that makes it so good to watch is the fact that older viewers can appreciate the drama that the father goes through while younger viewers can relate to haveing your parrents say no to getting your licence. simply put THIS episode is one of the best in the show.
